It snowed November 4 in Northern Michigan, dusting my old stomping grounds with the promise of the December holidays. Here in Atlanta, I look for fresh magnolia branches tied with red gingham ribbon and outdoor pots puffed up with red dogwood, vine balls, pine boughs, bittersweet, purple pansies, Redbor kale and cabbages to signal the coming of my favorite holiday…

MODA hosted an Exhibition Opening Party fundraiser presented by Duravit in celebration of the launch of "Text Me: How We Live in Language," curated by designer Debbie Millman. The evening included hors d’oeuvres, music, word games, a tattoo booth and fortune-telling. “Text Me” is on exhibit through Feb. 4, 2018.

Tops for 2017

The year 2017 has been an amazing year for automobiles. From impressive compacts with all-electric engines increasing their distance to muscle-flexing pick-ups providing thrills while lugging heavy loads, car enthusiasts will not forget the last 12 months.
