Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Offers Built to Quit Program

As part of Northside Hospital Cancer Institute’s comprehensive approach to promoting healthier lifestyles, Northside offers a six-week Built to Quit program to help you stop smoking and using other tobacco products. Built to Quit smoking and tobacco cessation classes are led by American Lung Association-certified facilitators and educate participants about the hazards of smoking and using tobacco products, the benefits of quitting, and the strategies and skills to cope with urges. Behavioral therapists, nutritionists and respiratory therapists provide support and guidance.

Virginia-Highlands Summerfest June 1-2

Kicking off everyone’s favorite season, Summerfest celebrates warm weather and chill days in one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods. Featuring a juried artist market with 200-plus fine artists from the Southeast and beyond displaying works in a variety of media and representing numerous price ranges, Summerfest also includes the Makers Market with 30-plus artisans and vendors who offer one-of-a-kind items that ignite the senses. The Summerfest 5K Road Race takes place on festival Saturday morning and is an AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier. Advance registration via is encouraged. Younger attendees enjoy KidsFest, a special area with games, crafts, kid-themed entertainment and activities, many of which are free.
